Hehe. I did indeed. I still remember my rugby-ignorant days when I wondered why Julien wore a white long-sleeve polo shirt with a red rose embroidered on it. Now I tease him for having a shirt from our great enemies. :P
All those thorns. . . there's reason to believe that in Homeric Greece, roses were embroidered on clothing to protect. Which adds an edge to the scene in the Iliad where Andromache is putting roses on Hector's clothing when she hears he is dead.
