What does liberation smell like?

I'm looking for specific things, not general terms, but there is no right or wrong answer. This is a highly subjective idea—and yes, this is writing-related.

I realized just a little while ago that my answer for this didn't match at all with someone else's and I guess I'm trying to determine if there's a consensus or if I should go with my original instincts.
