I am appalled. I don't know what's worse; using a catastrophe like that for anti-Obama propaganda or saying it is the people of Haiti's own fault. Absolutely disgusting.
Those quotes actually made a story pop up in my head. I'm actually more disgusted by the woman next to Robertson, though, for letting him ramble on with that insanity and nodding as if there were a lick of worthiness to it being considered as possible.
It is truly disgusting. In Limbaugh's case, Jon was right: he has no heart. He believes in nothing but his own grandiosity and the power he has with the right. I think Robertson is just a truly clueless, smug little bastard. He thinks he's doing God's will so anything that comes out of that foetid brain and mouth is from God.
I was reading something about karma the other day that really speaks to this situation (and may be something to add to your percolation?). If you do something bad, but your intentions are pure, it doesn't count against you karmically (if you're forced to kill someone to protect the innocent, for example). However, if your motivations are base or impure, even if you are doing something good, it does count against you karmically. (I guess, like, asking for aid for people because you know it's expected and maybe you can make capital out of it while secretly loathing those in need as "cursed by a pact with the devil.")
