It's bad enough that I've got Xmas song earworms eating away at me, but now I've got this (to the tune of Jingle Bells):

I am so grateful I got out of retail, where I was forced to listen to the carols and the carol massacres. Last year's unfavorite was Barbara Strietsend's (I can't spell it and I'm not sorry) rendition of Jingle bells. I would have cheerfully strangled her if she had gotten in reach. I also loathed that drippy thing about the cat letting the mouse sleep under it on a freezing xmas night and then dying of the cold. My cats like mouse popsicle, a LOT.

I can't imagine anything worse! Every time I go into a drug store, et al., and hear those carols over and over--or worse, one of those motion sensitive things that make loud noises every time someone walks by--I think of the poor people stuck there all day listening to them over and over and over...
